The Foundation of Each Tincture

Tinctures can seem pretty straightforward, but if you look deeper there are huge differences between brands. The underlying choices in how they are made determine their potency, sustainability, quality and how well they support your situation.

Native European plants

There is a reason I don't use Ashwagandha in my formulas. It's not because it isn't effective, but because sustainable and highly effective alternatives are available locally. These have been growing and evolving alongside us for generations. I only use native European herbs that grow abundantly.

Organic alcohol

Your body might not notice the difference. High grade ethanol, which is used for quality tinctures, is purified to such an extent that most pesticides will have disappeared from it. But regardless whether some residue remains, there is no doubt about what it will have done to the soil, the ground water, and the entire ecosystem around the grains. This impact does not disappear the moment that the final product tests clean. I am only able to create my tinctures because of an incredible intelligence in nature, and I am determined to protect that.

Bridging Tradition and Science

I strongly believe that respect and reverence for traditional wisdom can coexist with embracing modern science. My tinctures are based on both. I take into account the traditional uses of herbs and they guide me through the areas that have not yet been studied through scientific research. At the same time, I study every in vitro, in vivo and clinical study I can find to have a detailed understanding of how the plant works inside our bodies.

Honoring Motherhood

I don't make tinctures because I believe a mother's body is not strong enough to carry motherhood. To the contrary. A woman's body is the most magical and intelligent thing I can imagine in this world. That is also why my tinctures are named after the state they support, and not the symptom that calls for our attention. I am convinced that within each woman, there already is a Calm Mother. A Dancing Mother. A Resilient Mother. But sometimes they can become so buried under the demands of our modern society, that they need some support to emerge again.

Honest assessments

I may be an expert in herbalism, but you are the expert of your own body. I share the full story of each plant, including the things we don't know yet, because I am convinced that you are able to make an informed decision yourself. With all the information available you can take responsibility for your own well-being and decide whether the blend is a match for your unique situation.
