A tincture is a liquid plant extract with medicinal properties. The selected part of the plant is macerated for several weeks in a specific ratio of distilled water and organic alcohol. This allows for the medicinal compounds of the plant to move into the liquid. After thoroughly straining it, a powerful medicinal tincture remains.
A single dose of tincture contains about 1/10th of a teaspoon of alcohol. That is less than in a ripe banana! I don't drink alcohol myself so I can understand any hesitation, but let's take out the fear and understand that all of our ripe fruits, fermented foods, and tinctures contain tiny (comparable) amounts of alcohol.
You can take the tincture directly into your mouth, or you can put it in your favorite drink. Your preference won't impact the effectiveness, so feel free to take it anyway that feels best to you.
This depends entirely on the tincture (and each unique person of course!). Some herbs build up their effects in the body (like our Resilient Mother), whereas others will have immediate effects within 30 minutes (like the Calm or the Dancing Mother).
Absolutely! The current combinations in my shop will not have adverse effects on each other when taken simultaneously.
On average we see that most mothers reorder a little over a month after their first bottle, when they use it daily. The tinctures have a shelf life of five years, so in case you need it much less, you can just store it until the need rises again.
Absolutely, and I would never settle for less. Not only the plants have been organically grown, but our alcohol is certified organic (gluten free) as well.
Absolutely! Orders within the Netherlands are usually delivered in 2-3 business days, and within the EU in 3-7 business days (dependent on the exact country). If you live outside of the EU I am more than happy to send your orders as well, reach out so we'll see what works best for you!
